Antara Wanita dan Lelaki (Copied from Ust Felix Siauw Tweets @felixsiauw)

Bismillahirrahmaanirrahiim.

Izin share pak Ustad. :)

Tanggal 13 Januari 2014, mamah bawain bolu singkong buat buka puasa. Sengaja dibawain agak banyak. :-D Selidik punya selidik, bikinnya gampang. Ini dia resep bolu singkongnya.

A Wodden Plane

It was a long journey and seemed endless. It was about eight hours after we arrived at the airport this morning. Inside a small black car, I was sitting at the back and staring lines of high, big trees. It looked like a forest. I found a lot of fogs under the trees. I heard twittering of birs, sometimes I catched them flying from a tree to other trees. The view was very strange for me.

I used to see rows of skyscrappers, traffic jams, and much pollution. This place was different. My father and my mother were talking about the road. They said, there was no change on it. This was the road to my grandparents’ house. For nearly seven years we have never visited them. I really wanted to meet them because I had not meet them since I was three years old.
I was getting bored and tired. I turned on my ipod and listened to my favourite song.

“… How did we get here, when I used to know you so well…… How did we get here, well I think I know…” (singing).

“Honey, turn down the volume. It’s too loud”, said my mother.
“Yes mom”, I replied.
I was sleepy. I wanted to take a nap for a while….

“Sam..!!! Come on, we arrive”, said my mother that successfully startling me.
“Huft, just a second to sleep”.
“Come on Sam. Meet your grandpa and grandma. Remember, don’t be naughty”.
“Of course dad”.

I got out of the car and walked to the house. But wait.
“What is that? I can not see it clearly. It looks like a plane. A plane? I don’t think so”. I spoke to myself then I decided to see that strange thing closer which was at the corner of the yard. My grandpa’s yard was wide. I walked slowly and carefully because rain has made the path slippery.

“Sam. What are you doing? Come inside. Grandma and grandpa are waiting for you.”
“Yes Mom”. Again. My mother startled me. I almost slipped because of her voice. Then I turned and followed her.

“Sammy, my grandson. You are a big boy now, more handsome but still funny. Surely you are tired, aren’t you? Sit down here and I will prepare a cup of hot chocolate special for you. I know the weather is very cold”, said grandma after pinched my cheeks and kissed my forehead.

Grandma was a kind old woman. She was tall and slim. Grandma loved exercise and jogging in her big yard. Her eyes were brown, so much alike with my mother’s eyes. Her sharp nose and black hair made her more beautiful in her age. However you could see wrinkle in her face.

Who was he? A man with white t-shirt and shorts. Hmm,.it must be grandpa. He was tall with blue eyes and a sharp nose. His body looked like a soldier but his face looked like an actor of Hachiko, Richard Gere. My mother said he was a pilot. He had ever visited a lot of countries in every continent in the world.

“Hi Sam. How are you?”.
“Hi grandpa. I am fine”.
“Good. How was your trip?”
“Tiring but I enjoyed it. Especially when we passed a forest”.
“Yeah. It is a reason why I like this village”.
“Here is the hot chocolate milk. Drink it now Sam!” asked grandma.
“Thank you”.
Grandma, then, went to kitchen again to make dinner for us.

“Grandpa, can I go out for a while?”
“Sure. But before six you have to be here. Ok?”
“Yes, Sir”, I said, saluted like a soldier who was facing his commander. Grandpa smiled at me.

I was still curious with the strange thing in the yard. I walked to the yard. Honestly, I was really tired and sleepy but my curiosity seemed much bigger than this. I was getting closer. Yeah, it was a plane. A small wooden plane. The dark brown wood of the body of the plane was old but looked sturdy. I opened the door and tried to sit. Brruukk,..the door closed. Maybe it was just the wind. I held the steering wheel and played with its clutch and accelerator with my feet.

“It is a nice wooden plane. Hey, what’s that? A letter? I don’t think so”. I picked the paper up from the rear-view mirror. Maybe on it was written magic words. Thus, I read it…..

"One, two, three, I am coming. Four, five, six, I am sitting. Seven, eight, I am reading. Nine and ten, I am flying."

Suddenly my eyes were getting dizzy. The wooden plane seemed moving and flying. Yes, I was flying. Oh no, it was impossible. Was I really flying?. I was afraid. My grandfather’s house became small from up here. Smaller and unvisible. Now, I began to panic. I tried to open the door but I couldn’t.

“Take a deep breath Sammy. You will fall if you force the door to open. Will you jump? Oh no”. I said to myself.

“Ok. Lets enjoy this trip. Positive thinking. You will not fall. Relax and enjoy”.
The plane kept going at medium speed. I saw the Atlantic Ocean, the American Continent, and other small islands.

“I want to see the continent of Asia”.

Then the plane flied to somewhere. “What is that? A beautiful archipelago country. I guess it is Indonesia”. I knew it because last week before I had holiday, my teacher explained to me about this country. The plane moved to the north. I saw cherry blossoms. I was sure it must be Japan. It moved again to the west passing sea of Japan, Korea, and Yellow sea. Then the wooden plane was above great wall of China. I could not imagine how Chinese built such a long wall like this. The plane stopped above a long river in Egypt. I enjoyed this view because I could see some deserts that I had never seen before.

“Wonderful”, I shout.
“I really enjoy this trip. Wooohooo…”

“Now I want this wooden plane to take me to the space”.
Why the plane did not move? Maybe I had to say harder.
“Wooden plane, lets go into space!!”
“Lets go into the space!!”
“Take me to the space, NOW!!!”

The plane moved up, higher, and higher.
“Yeah. I like it. I am happy. I am going to see the space directly. It is my dream”.
Suddenly the wooden plane moved erracticly. Wind blew toward the plane. The propellers stopped spinning. I was looking for a parachute in the drawer, but I could not find it. The plane was shaking and also my body. How was it? I would fall. The plane spun. The spinning was faster than before. The land became bigger. It meant I am getting closer to the ground. Then….

“Aaarrrggggghhhhh………”

—————-*****————–

“Sam, wake up! What happened? Why are you shouting?” asked my mother.
I opened my eyes. I could not controll my breath. I felt suplle.
“I will fall mom”, I answered.
“No. You will not. You just felt a sleep and got a bad dream. Everything is alright Sam. Lets go back to grandpa’s house. We are waiting for you”.

On the rear-mirror, I could not find the paper which was written magic words. Maybe I was dreaming.

“Thanks God, that is Sam. Where have you been Sam?” asked my father who stood in front of the gate after looking for me.
“Inside the wooden plane. He fell a sleep and got bad dream. Don’t worry honey,  he is alright”, my mother answered.

“Come here Sam”, said grandpa as he letting me to sit beside him.
“Drink this”, grandma continued and gave me a glass of mineral water.

I drank it and began to tell my experience with the wooden plane. No one trust me. They said I just got a bad dream. For me, it was a real experience. Magic words, flying, seeing the world, and falling felt real.
the wooden plane
“Don’t worry Sam. It was only a dream. I will sing a song to make you relax”, said grandpa.

"One, two, three, I am coming.
Four, five, six, I am sitting.
Seven, eight, I am reading.
Nine and ten, I am flying."
